Updated: Dec 27, 2022

We tried this receipe at FishnLure and results were amazing. Here how it goes for easy Salmon Jerky Receipe;

To make salmon jerky, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillets

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees Fahrenheit or use a dehydrator. We used cheap $50 dehydrator from amazon and did the job right. See it here

  2. Rinse the salmon fillets and pat dry with paper towels.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).

  4. Place the salmon fillets in a single layer on a baking sheet or in a dehydrator tray.

  5. Brush the marinade over the salmon fillets, making sure to coat them evenly.

  6. If using an oven, bake the salmon for 4-6 hours or until it is dry and flaky. If using a dehydrator, follow the manufacturer's instructions for drying times.

  7. Once the salmon is fully dried, remove it from the oven or dehydrator and allow it to cool completely.

  8. Once cooled, slice the salmon into thin strips and serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy
